Wish Upon A Wedding

The best thing you can do with your life is learn how to give back. Help those that are less fortunate, unable, or in need. I try to approach every situation with the mind set of "everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle." I know it sure helps me get over getting rudely cut off on the freeway...maybe their father just had a heart attack and they need to get to the hospital. Who knows. It helps not to judge a situation you can't fully see.

I just recently got involved in what I think is a WONDERFUL organization: Wish Upon a Wedding. It's a network of wedding professionals that donate their time and services to help give the terminally ill a dream wedding. Am I curing cancer? No. But I believe everyone deserves to be the king and queen of the ball for a day. Think of all the beautiful memories that will be created and savored on such a beautiful day.

I encourage all of you to find a cause you can get involved in to change a life or many lives. Sometimes a simple smile is all someone needs to have their day turn around. Holding a door open for a stranger can go a long way. You never know how a random act of kindness can affect someone. I can't tell you how many times an unexpected kind word has warmed my heart.

If you want to get involved with Wish Upon a Wedding start by checking out their website: http://wishuponawedding.org/ and see what good YOU can do.

Dedicated to all our men in service that help make this country a safer place on this memorial day. Thank you.
